This archive consists not only of narratives from North, South and Central America, but also includes the Caribbean Islands. The inclusion, or exclusion of any territory is based more on cultural similarities, than on continental or political classification.

North America

For the purpose of site, North America consist of Canada, and the U.S. Blow, are the ancient legends and stories as told by the native people of North America.

A creation story of the Cherokee people, located in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of eastern United States.

A flood story, as told by the Lenni-Lenape, from the Northeastern Woodlands of the United States.

South America

South America includes twelve sovereign states. Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, and French Guiana. These are the ancient myths and legends of the indigenous people of South America.
